These terms of use govern your use of the website jpip.se and the services provided by Johansson & Partners Intellectual Property AB ("we", "us", "our"). By visiting the website or using our services, you accept these terms.

2. Services we offer

Among other things, we offer:

  • Registration and renewal of trademarks nationally (Sweden) and internationally (the EU and selected jurisdictions)
  • Monitoring of trademarks against infringement (Veillor)
  • AI-based tools such as Free AI Class Suggestion, Idea Koll and PRV search
  • A client portal giving you control over monitored trademarks and subscriptions
  • Advice and assistance with infringement and disputes

3. Your use of the website

You may use the website and our services for lawful purposes. You undertake not to:

  • use the website for illegal activity or activity contrary to good practice
  • attempt to break into our systems, manipulate the database or overload servers
  • copy, scrape or automatically retrieve content on a larger scale than occasional manual visits
  • upload malicious code, viruses or other material that could harm other users or our systems
  • share your client account with third parties or create multiple accounts to circumvent our subscription limits
  • use our AI tools to analyse websites you are not entitled to perform automated retrieval from

4. Client account

To use the client services, you need to register an account. You are responsible for:

  • ensuring the information you provide is accurate and kept up to date
  • keeping your password secure and not sharing it with others
  • all activity that takes place on your account

We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that abuse the service or breach these terms.

5. Prices, payment and subscription

  • Current prices are stated on the relevant page (e.g. Register, Renew or in the client portal).
  • Payment is handled by Stripe. We never store your card details.
  • Subscription services (such as Advanced Monitoring or unlimited Idea Koll searches) are billed periodically according to the chosen plan. You can cancel the subscription at any time via the client portal — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Refunds are made in accordance with the Distance Contracts Act for consumers. For business customers, the terms of the agreement entered into apply. One-off services already performed (e.g. a completed trademark registration) are not refunded.
  • In the event of non-payment, a statutory reminder fee and late-payment interest under the Interest Act are charged.

6. AI-generated content – important disclaimer

Our AI tools (Free AI Class Suggestion, Idea Koll, AI-based analyses in the client portal) generate suggestions based on public information and language-model analysis. These suggestions do not constitute legal advice and do not replace consultation with a qualified trademark attorney or lawyer.

  • AI-generated class suggestions are indicative. The final choice of class is determined at registration in consultation with us.
  • Idea Koll results are based on simple name matching against public registers. The absence of hits does not guarantee that the name is registrable or free from infringement.
  • AI models can make mistakes, miss relevant information or produce incorrect conclusions. Always use your own judgement and consult us if in doubt.

7. Intellectual property rights

All material on the website — texts, logos, design, program code, images and trademarks — belongs to Johansson & Partners Intellectual Property AB or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights. You may not copy, distribute, modify or publish our material without our written consent.

Content you upload in the client portal (logos, trademarks, etc.) remains your property. However, you grant us a right to use the material to the extent required to deliver the service.

8. Limitation of liability

We provide the website and the services "as is" and "as available". We strive for high availability but cannot guarantee that the services are always error-free, secure or uninterrupted.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

  • indirect damages, consequential damages, lost profits or lost business opportunities
  • errors in third-party services (Stripe, Google, PRV, EUIPO, etc.) outside our control
  • actions or decisions you take based solely on AI-generated suggestions
  • loss of data or content not caused by us

Our total liability towards you is limited to the amount you have paid us for the relevant service during the last twelve months. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for intent, gross negligence, or where such limitation is not permitted under mandatory law.

9. Cookies and personal data

Our processing of your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms of use.

10. Changes to the terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version is always published on this page with the date at the top. Material changes are communicated by email to clients at least 30 days in advance. By continuing to use the services after a change, you accept the new terms.

11. Disputes and applicable law

These terms are governed by Swedish law. Any dispute arising in connection with the terms or the services shall first be resolved through discussion between the parties. If agreement cannot be reached, the dispute shall be settled by Stockholm District Court as the court of first instance.

Consumers always have the right to have disputes reviewed by the National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN), www.arn.se.
